The Medical Library regrets that it is no longer able to sustain its current opening hours. This decision follows a cut in the funding we receive from the NHS.
As of Monday 8th January 2007 and until further notice, the Library's opening hours will be:
Monday - Friday: 8.00am - 10.00pm
Saturday: 9.00am - 5.00pm
Sunday: closed

I am appalled by the move to cut down the number of library hours over weekends. Some of us work full-time at the hospital and we can only barely manage to read text-books,journals and publications during the weekends for exams, research purposes or personal study. Its shocking that the library of a premier institution will deny its genuine members-by which I mean genuine and not members who use it solely for internet purposes-the much needed services over the weekends.May I suggest that you close the library an hour earlier each day perhaps, but keep it open over weekends? Many thanks
