The National Library for Health has provided 3 new specialist libraries: Neurological Conditions, Public Health, Stroke
Neurological Conditions
The Neurological Conditions Specialist Library (NCSL) aims to provide access to the best available evidence within neurological conditions to NHS healthcare professionals. Although targeted at health professionals; patients, carers and the general public will find useful information on the site.
The NCSL is supported by a Clinical Lead, editorial board, an information support team and by the wider stakeholder community.
Public Health
This library is a constantly developing resource and information will be updated frequently. The resources for the three priority areas: tobacco, alcohol, obesity.
Resources for the other Choosing Health topic areas will be added soon. Resources for other public health categories will be added over the next 4 months.
Stroke
The Stroke Specialist Library is being developed to provide high quality, evidence-based information on all of aspects of Stroke. This site is aimed at health professionals with an interest in Stroke.
There are 28 specialist libraries in total, with 4 more due to be added soon. Go to http://www.library.nhs.uk/SpecialistLibraries/ for more details, or ask in the Medical Library.
